Roger de Lusignan, President
As President of Votiva Health, Roger brings a wealth of experience and the vision of a veteran healthcare services executive. Prior to forming Votiva Health, he was Chief Executive Officer of Enclara Health, taking the startup from concept to the launch of three separate business lines. Votiva Health is an extension of the care management component of that business. Prior to this, Roger spent seven years at Life Masters Supported SelfCare, currently a leader in the disease management market. As Vice President of Operations and later, Vice President of Government Programs, Roger led the operational, programmatic and market growth of LifeMasters from an early stage start-up company to a national leader in the industry.
Roger was also Director of Teleservice Operations, Northern California Region for the Permanente Medical Group, one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in the country serving the Northern California region of Kaiser Permanente. He managed implementation and operations of a three call center network serving over 2.5 million Northern Californians on a twenty-four hour, seven day a week basis. The network was staffed by over 1200 employees and handled over 17 million calls annually.
As a Management Consultant, Roger has consulted with several national and regional health plans, employers and government agencies. This has included creating and executing business development and operational management plans for Catholic Health Care, The Permanente Medical Group, Stanford Medical School, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and United Health Group.
As a Certified Public Accountant, he also served as a senior member of Ernst & Young’s healthcare industry group and has a Bachelors of Arts from Sacramento State University and a Masters in Public Administration from University of San Francisco.
Joseph Maturo, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer of Votiva Health, Mr. Maturo brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, operating management and investment banking. He began his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young where he served on audits of industrial and service organizations. After his time at Ernst & Young, he spent 10 years with Merrill Lynch as an investment banker, where he completed leveraged buyout transactions in a wide variety of industries.
Following his time at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Maturo served as Chief Operations Officer of Orbit Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer of apparel. In 1995, he co-founded and served as President of Allegiance Health Services, LLC, a healthcare enterprise that provided medical consulting services to national automotive and workers’ compensation insurance companies. Just prior to joining Votiva Health, Mr. Maturo served as a Managing Director of Iridium Partners, an investment banking firm serving middle-market businesses in merger and acquisition and financing activities.
Mr. Maturo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Boston College and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Michelle Reisner MD, Medical Director
As Votiva Health’s Medical Director, Dr. Reisner provides guidance and support to Votiva Health’s medical issues. Her Board Certifications include: Diplomat, American Board of Internal Medicine, 1989; Subspecialty Board in Geriatrics, 1994; Recertification 2003; and Diplomat, American Board of Hospice and Palliative Care, 2001. Dr. Reisner has had appointments as Assistant Professor , Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York; Associate Professor, St. George’s University School of Medicine and as Fellow American Geriatric Society.
Dr. Reisner has extensive experience as former Director of Geriatric Department, Jersey City Medical Center; Founder. Community House Call Physicians for the Homebound Frail Elderly; Chief Medical Officer, Enclara Health; Chief Medical Officer, Compassionate Care Hospice.; Chief Medical Officer, Care Alternatives; Medical Director, Comfort Care Hospice,; and Medical Director Emergency Department, Jersey City Medical Center, Dr. Reisner’s professional memberships include: American College of Physicians, American Geriatrics Society, American Association of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the American Association of Homecare Physicians.
Dr. Reisner has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from University of the Witwatersrand , Johannesburg, South Africa.
Linda Cioffi, Vice President of Care Management
Prior to joining Votiva, Linda formed the Care Management Department at Touchstone Health, a Medicare HMO based in New York City and was responsible for reengineering and directing the Emergency Departments at the New York Westchester Square Medical Center and Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich Connecticut. Under her direction Greenwich Hospital earned Trauma Center designation and both departments received multiple JACHO survey accommodations. As part of the general management team for both institutions she was instrumental in enhancing productivity and customer satisfaction in other departments using the processes and standards developed in her departments.
She has developed and implemented programs for medication stress testing and fast tracking in the urgent care setting. Linda received her Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from Iona College in 1997. Linda has taught courses in ACLS and PALS as a certified instructor. She has been recognized for her innovative approaches to population based disease management in the January 2002 edition of the Disease Management Advisor.
